An exciting, permanent opportunity has become available for a payroll administrator to join my client based in Aldridge, Walsall on a part-time basis. You will be joining a family-run business that has been established since 1872, now looking to recruit anadditional member to join their team.
As the payroll administrator you will be responsible for two company payrolls, approximately 60 employees. You will perform payroll duties from employee set up through to payment of employees.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Maintaining/Updating employee database and records
- Maintaining and administrating holiday records and register
- Prepare monthly and weekly payroll (Excel and Sage Payroll 50)
- Monitoring minimum wage and apprentice rates requirements
- Managing tax year end
- Managing new starter process and issuing contract of employment
- Updating and monitoring training and employee review records
- Deal with payroll queries from employees
**Skills and experience required**:
- Experience working in a SME company
- Computer literate, must be able to use Microsoft Excel confidently
- Good knowledge and experience of Sage Payroll 50
- Previous use of a HR database would be an advantage
