School Cleaner

**School Cleaners required.**

**15 to 20 hours per week. Monday to Friday (5pm to 9pm), all year round.**

**Main responsibilities**

To be responsible for cleaning designated areas of the School site as allocated by the Cleaning Manager/Estates Manager;
To use cleaning materials and equipment as instructed by the Cleaning Manager/Estates Manager;
To ensure that provided on site documentation is adhered to at all times (eg Health and Safety Policy, cleaning specifications, COSHH guidelines).

**Person Specification**
- The ability to carry out general cleaning duties as detailed above.
- The ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
- The ability to work without supervision, alone and as part of a team to achieve specified standards.
- The ability to manage time effectively to compete tasks to a high level.
- Awareness and understanding of the demands of working in a School is desirable.
- A high level of courtesy when dealing with staff, pupils and visitors to the School.
- Flexibility with regard to changing demands of the post and of working hours; this may include occasional weekends, morning shift or late finish.

**The appointment will be dependent upon receipt of two satisfactory references, confirmation of right to work in the UK and a PVG report from Disclosure Scotland.**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £10.13 per hour
