Marketing & Communications Officer, Living Lab

**Job Purpose**
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications the postholder will be responsible for delivering comprehensive marketing and communications plans for internal and external engagement across a wide range of partners including Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City Council, private companies as well as University of Glasgow and the public.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**-2. Lead on the development and ongoing management of the SiPF Living Lab website.
3. Source, create, coordinate, and implement engaging physical and digital content that targets and responds to our key internal and external audiences. Including, preparing briefs for design, photography and video, develop storyboards and deliver compelling copywriting that content can be re-purposed across multiple channels.
4. Identify, champion, and lead marketing and communications initiatives which enhance the local, national, and international reputation of SiPF Living Lab. A key focus here will be on promoting the new Health Innovation Hub and in particular to help attract prospective industry tenants to take space in the building.
5. Working with college and central university marketing colleagues, develop a media relations plan, optimising academic media presence and external stakeholder access to our content.
6. Develop engagement communications to enhance relationships with our internal and external audiences (e.g. newsletters).
7. Lead our event management strategy, working with Living Lab and MVLS colleagues, to increase our engagement with industry.
8. Assist with and manage any social media channels associated with Living Lab.
9. Proactively manage, monitor and report on the SiPF Living Lab website and social media accounts, using relevant analytics and online resources. Evaluate activities and suggest opportunities to inform future planning.
10. Understand customer journey mapping, employ user-testing and statistical analysis in the ongoing development of new content.
11. Work alongside Marketing & Communications Manager (IEE) and contribute towards related College and University action plans/initiatives as required.
12. Carry out specialised admin/operational duties related to the development and maintenance of SiPF Living Lab communications.
13. Provide expertise and input to programme level communications activity when required.
**Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**:
A1 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework Level 9, (Ordinary Degree, Scottish Vocational Qualification level 4), or equivalent (including professional accreditation with relevant formal training), and experience of personal development in a similar or related role(s). OR Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar or related role(s).
A2 Excellent knowledge and understanding of producing engaging digital content, writing for the web and copywriting.
A3 Deep knowledge and understanding of web design and web information architecture.
**Desirable**:
B1 Thorough knowledge and understanding of the current UK landscape relating to public engagement with research and research impact.
B2 Basic knowledge of scientific/medical terms and principles of healthcare innovation
