Summary Our ambitions in the Peak District for Nature Recovery, Climate Adaptation, Carbon Sequestration and Sustainable Land Management are huge.You’ll focus on the restoration of our Peatlands in the High Peak, leading and planning the next phase ofour long-term plan that will see an acceleration in the scale and pace of peatland restoration by 2050.

Over the past 20 years significant peatland restoration has been achieved in the High Peak. You’ll set up us to deliver a long-term and evolving peatland restoration programme, accelerating our pace of delivery where possible through the securing of externalfunding and good future planning.

What it's like to work here You’ll be based within our internal NT consultancy and will work closely with a variety of regional colleagues; you’ll be embedded within the Peak District Property Team supporting the delivery of the Peak District Vision. With hybridmeans you’ll combine working at our beautiful places, being out and about on site with working from home.

Partnership and collaborative working are at the heart of the Peak District Vision and ways of working. You’ll need to uphold good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

What you'll be doing This is initially a three-year opportunity to lead the Peatland Restoration Planning and Delivery in the High Peak. Your priorities will be:

- Develop a prioritised plan for the restoration of 5700ha of peatland in the High Peak; clearly defining the level of work needed and the public benefits e.g. carbon storage, improved water quality, flood risk mitigation and improved biodiversity that willbe realised through peatland restoration.
- Promote innovation and develop partnership working that will seek to significantly accelerate the scale and pace of peatland restoration in the High Peak.
- Proactively lead on funding opportunities that will deliver restoration work.
- Work in partnership with Land Use Farm Advisors, Ecologists, Historic Environment and Climate Advisors to deliver the best outcomes for our land.
Who we're looking for To be successful in this role you'll need:

- Experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading procurement securing project teams and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes
- A recognised project (AMP PMQ/Prince) or programme management (MSP) qualification or a commitment to gain whilst in role.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills, able to confidently work with senior leaders
- Experience of managing complex external stakeholder relationships
- Experience of managing multi-layered Natural Environment and Landscape Projects with knowledge of upland peatland management advantageous.
