**Job Role**: Employment Support Worker

**Salary**:Full time equivalent £23,240 - £24,612 (salary will be pro rata based on hours agreed)

**Hours**:Flexible, up to 18.75 hours per week

**Contract type**:Permanent

**Location**:Our office is based in Kingswood, however travel around South Gloucestershire will be required

**The Role**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Devise, implement and review client development plans, identifying skills, expectations, barriers and support needs and together develop an appropriate pathway towards employment goals
- Motivate and empower clients to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve their employment goals.
- Deliver or facilitate a range of employability, work preparation and job-related training courses, for clients
- Provide information, advice and signposting to clients on a range of matters including welfare benefits, budgeting, CV building and job search
- Assess referrals and carry out an initial assessment of each individuals, skills development, training and employment needs

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- _ A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work_
- _ Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs_
- _ Experience working with refugees or people who speak English as a second language_
- _ Comprehensive knowledge _of barriers to employment and how to address these, and a good knowledge of welfare benefits (both in-work and out-of-work)._
