**About the Service/Department**:
Latch House is a supported accommodation service in Lambeth for adult males who, in addition to needing support to address and manage their substance misuse, have a history of involvement with the criminal justice system. The focus of the service is to provide medium to long term focused rehabilitation and recovery support, and to support the Local Authority to prevent homelessness in the area.

Latch House is a 15 bedroom, self-contained accommodation service, providing its residents with a safe and therapeutic environment in which to undertake their journey of recovery. The team work closely with key partner agencies in the borough to provide holistic support to those individuals, and to work collaboratively to support them to identify, address and work towards recovery of those needs.

Our team deliver a person-centred approach enabling choice and control for each individual to realise their potential, increasing service users’ ability to manage their tenures, supporting accessing to training, education and employment, developing their ability to live independently, and maximising social inclusion and reducing social segregation.

The service is delivered by a multi-disciplined team, providing specialist interventions regarding housing and tenure management, and dual-diagnosis support, allowing residents to access the support that they need to maximize their potential and achieve their goals.

**The Role**:
To develop and maintain positive and supportive working relationships with a range of residents with complex health and support needs, including substance misuse and a history of offending behaviour.

**Personal Specification**
- Demonstrable experience of working within accommodation based support services for people with multiple and complex needs
- A strong understanding of Recovery approaches and co-production.
- Knowledge of issues affecting those individuals with a range of risks and support needs, including a good understanding of the causes of homelessness and the ability to create interventions with service users to address these.
- Excellent knowledge and demonstrable experience of housing pathways, housing legislation and housing management experience including income collection from personal service charges and Housing Benefit.
- Knowledge of Community Care, Criminal Justice and Homelessness Pathways and Health and Safety
- Demonstrable experience of preventing tenancy breakdown and supporting people to maintain their accommodation
- Demonstrable experience of establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with professionals from across the voluntary, private and public sectors.
- Good knowledge of MS Office systems and able to use computer systems including case management systems, ability to write & interpret complex reports
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
- Commitment to working within an Equality & Diversity Framework.
- Ability to work flexibly including limited out of hours working during the evening, weekends / bank holidays to scrutinise the delivery of Latch House
- Ability to complete and record accurate financial transactions

**Holidays**:195 hours per year, plus 62.4 hours public holidays (full time equivalent). Our holiday year runs from April until March.
