**Project Officer (Housing Services)**

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

To independently work under the direction of the Housing Services Manager in developing and delivering a review of the Independent Living and Lifeline services based on a recently received consultancy report.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Project Management**:

- Prepare initiation documents, project briefs, option appraisals, project plans, risk registers, and specifications.
- Research options for service delivery, providing costings and feasibility assessments.
- Deliver projects in compliance with corporate project delivery methodology.
- Organize and conduct consultation exercises.

- **Communication and Information Management**:

- Produce information for service users in various formats.
- Provide individual advice and assistance to service users.
- Record meeting content, take minutes, and use visual methods to represent key information.
- Draft and prepare data for key stakeholders, including Senior Officers and Elected Members.
- Write or update policies and procedures related to Independent Living and Control Centre services.

**Redesignation Project**:

- Review the redesignation project, engaging The Waiting List Team.
- Produce a report and implementation plan, ensuring its successful conclusion.

**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform other project officer duties for the Housing Services Team as assigned.

**FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Raise requisition orders for purchasing under agreed procedures.
- Ensure no expenditure is made without due authorization.

**RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS AND DATA**
- Be responsible for all equipment issued for role duties.
- Create, maintain, and manage appropriate databases.
- Ensure secure storage of all project documentation.

**EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT**
- Liaise with other teams within and external to RBC.
- Interact with contractors, consultants, end-users, and key stakeholders.

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT**
- Mixture of site and office-based working, as required.
- Adherence to agile working policy.
- Full current driving license is essential.

**CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES**

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience in social housing or related field
- Experience in Independent Living or Lifeline Service
- Understanding of current housing issues and the political and social framework
- Full membership of Chartered Institute of Housing or equivalent
- Previous project management experience in social housing or related sector
- Effective communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to investigate issues and develop recommendations
- Ability to handle pressurized situations effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Data Protection legislation
- Full current driving license and use of a vehicle for work purposes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £25.13-£32.67 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
