**Purchasing Lead**

This is an interesting and varied role with excellent opportunities for personal development and growth supporting the delivery of complex engineering solutions.

**As a Purchasing Lead, you will play a crucial role in optimising the supply chain and contributing to company success. Your responsibilities will include**:

- Leading supply chain improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
- Developing action plans to increase profitability through supply chain optimisation.
- Identifying competitive quotations from suppliers for raw materials.
- Negotiating terms, discounts, rebates, and other contractual agreements with suppliers.
- Developing and maintaining supplier performance metrics, reporting, and taking necessary actions for underperforming suppliers.

**You will have the following skills and experience**:

- Excellent planning and negotiation skills
- Confident communication with employees and customers at all levels
- Proven commercial experience, including purchasing and supply chain expertise
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, CIPS qualified, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems.
- Experience working withing the engineering industry is preferred.
