Working with another 3 Internal Sales ops and in a branch of 20 people.
Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm with 1 hour lunch
Every other Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm
Salary - £30,000-£35,000 DOE.
Branch Profit Shared Bonus - Capped at 10% of salary.
**Purpose of the role**:
Through exceptional customer service, provide product and services advice to increase sales and margin in line with the branch objectives. Promote our client to be the merchant of choice within your geographical area, build a loyal customer base and drive sales opportunities.
**Role Duties**:
- Put customers first and tasks second
- Provide friendly, accurate and efficient customer service both via the telephone and face to face
- Identify and approach customers in need of help and advice
- Check product availability and offer alternatives where necessary
- Identify the need for and arrange sales visits for Sales Rep’s or Branch Director’s
- Agree prices with customers whilst protecting our clients margin
- Actively sell relevant offers, discounts and promotions happening within the branch
- Follow the quotation process and keep the customer promise
- Open new accounts and track spending to ensure usage
- Use networks across local branches to fulfil specific customer needs
- Regularly review customer terms and amend as necessary
- Become a trusted business partner to your top customers
- Identify issues that could lead to customer complaints/ loss of business and proactively resolve these
- Be aware of local competitor activity and utilise this to increase sales and service in branch
- Ensure customer details are accurate and recorded correctly
- Effectively use Kerridge to help customers fulfil their purchases
**Product Knowledge & Presentation**:
- Ensure that product knowledge is up to date and applied accurately in customer conversations
- Provide specialist advice and product information
- Manage stock to ensure mínimal out of stocks or communicate needs to the purchasing team
- Understand the importance of an accurate database and amend stock levels to ensure 100% availability for the customer
- Order specials and record goods requested by customers
- Ensure your work area is clean, tidy, safe and ready for trading
