**Role Description**

Lead the team to deliver our purpose of protecting LVGI and Customers from Fraud by embedding a customer centric environment for crime prevention consultants to develop, promoting a culture of technical excellence within the team.

The role will also include identifying prioritising and disrupting fraud through efficient strategies to ensure investigations are handled within financial scope, achieving Financial Crime objectives and measures.

**Key Accountabilities**

You will be leading the team to handle suspected financial crime investigations effectively and efficiently in line with agreed business objectives. Proactively lead, motivate, coach the team and use data to identify improvement opportunities to ensure achievement of agreed measures, objectives, professional conduct, technical and behavioural standards. Provide weekly report to Crime Prevention Manager.

Achievement of key people measures including delivery and embedding of Performance Development, LV = brand values, absence management, attrition and employee feedback.

Implement resource planning and work allocation strategy to respond to investigation levels and overall team performance. Complete monthly control reports to monitor SLAs, operational risks and complaints including root causes.

Being a source of support to the team, Crime Prevention Manager and Financial Crime area, and pulling support when needed.

Ability to identify and solve problems with own initiative through balanced decision-making skills.

Flexible, resilient and capable of managing conflicts with knowledge of people policies.

Proactive continuous learning and development, being a role model for the team.

Competent in Microsoft Office, predominately in OneNote, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

**Technical**

General understanding of bodies, legislations and regulations that govern financial services, specifically personal lines insurance and fraud/financial crime.

Good understanding of Data Protection Acts and GDPR, the relevance to fraud investigations including the NIM framework.

Experience of industry data sharing databases and their purpose, such as CUE and MID.

Ensuring compliance through internal team and individual audits when required.

Comprehensive working knowledge of personal lines insurance claims and/or policies with a best practice approach.

Good knowledge of fraud indicators, key performance and key risk indicators.

Experience of operational fraud fighting, investigation techniques and interviewing methods with awareness of supporting counter-fraud tools.

Manage complaints and support consultants with complaints including root cause investigations and resolutions.
