**Position**

F&B Guest Service Assistant (breakfast)

**Scope of Work**

To maintain high standards within the F&B department as defined by the department’s Operating Standards

To ensure guests’ needs are met and exceeded in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring total guest satisfaction.

**Report To**

Reception Manager and Operations Manager

**Main Duties**

**Operational Responsibilities**

Guest Service
- Be fully trained in and service periods of food and beverage to ensure you can cover all shifts required.
- To ensure that all the guests receive excellent customer service in accordance with hotel standards.
- To ensure all tasks/responsibilities delegated to you are actioned daily.
- Build the necessary skills to perform and organise your duties in the most efficient and proactive manner, therefore providing attentive and prompt service.
- To be demanding and critical to service standards as well as hygiene standards.
- Project professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness.
- Learns guest names and personally recognise our regulars

Product
- Ensure & Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food and beverage areas including furniture, counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, tables, and storage areas, and the kitchen
- Prepare and serve all food and drinks consistent with the hotel’s standard food and drink recipes.
- To report any maintenance issues in the workplace to your manager and maintenance
- Be knowledgeable of all the SOP’s, Risk Assessments, Hygiene standards, products, and services that the hotel provides, projecting confidence and professionalism
- To have full knowledge of all menu items
- Assist with restocking and replenishment of food and beverage inventories and supplies
- Ensuring no damage to Hotel property when cleaning, paying attention to avoid stains, tears, and hairs
- Clean public areas using the correct cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.
- Maintaining strict control of keys
- Proactively assist in any department as and when required

General
- Report to your supervisor or the Manager on Duty at the end of every shift when she/he is on duty to ensure all duties have been completed
- Ensure all Navitas alerts are dealt with immediately and recorded in the handover book or the F&B Supervisor is made aware if they are on duty
- Ensure that the Shift checklist is completed daily according to standards
- Ensure all daily reports have been updated On and Offline
- Abide by all laws and permitted hours for serving alcohol to resident and non-resident guests and ensure that we collect contact details of non-residents for track and trace purposes
- Knowledge of all Guest Names and Regular Guest orders
- Assist Team with spring clean and moving furniture
- Use hazard warning signs as and when required
- Ensure all rubbish and waste are disposed of safely
- Ensure any guest with allergies are handled correctly with the correct products
- Knowledgeable and Comply with all Statutory Regulations:
- fire and emergency procedures including how to monitor and use the fire alarm system
- Hygiene regulations
- Health & Safety regulations
- safe lifting and carrying techniques
- manual handling
- use of protective clothing
- use of hazard signs
- use of detergents and cleaning products
- maintenance procedures and quality control
- Security procedures
- Be an excellent people person, showing respect for customs and culture
