**The Role & Key Responsibilities**

**Job Title: Market Intelligence and Business Development Analyst**

**Location: Hybrid role, based in Peterborough with ideally 1 day per week in the office**

This role will play a significant part in driving the future development of AB Agri by enabling the strategic decisions to be made at different company levels. We are looking for an expert in insights and data with the ability to understand and interpretthe needs of the business, with the ability to research and locate the data required and turn it into meaningful digital dashboards and presentations.

Reporting to the Head of Market Intelligence and Business Development, this varied role will include studying market conditions, technology landscape, competitors, and customers’ needs to assess the potential organic growth of the company, providing supportanalysis for business development opportunities.Working closely with central strategic marketers, innovation teams and other business streams to understand and support their business goals providing world class insights. We are looking for an articulate communicator who can engage, influence and presentinsights that help shape resolutions in innovation projects, commercial categories, brands, communications and value proposition strategy.

**What you will be doing**
- Devising actionable strategies from customer insights, while bringing the customer perspective to marketing decision making by executing market analysis and research activities to provide insights and recommendations
- Managing external agencies and partners for the execution of research projects or customer insights surveys
- Identifying ideal methodology and providing oversight on the data collection process and analytic work plan to ensure all available information is generated to support business needs
- Conveying analysis and recommendations via presentations and written reports for long term or ad hoc projects
- Working closing with the IT, Data & Analytics teams to develop world-class reporting systems and analytics
- Able to analyse qualitative and quantitative data, trends, strategies, and competition to support market priorities and positioning decisions.

**What you will bring;**
- Demonstrable experience within an international strategy, insights or marketing role.
- Previous management of market insights, customer Insights and competition analysis experience.
- Ability to understand customer, regional channels and competitor’s considerations in developing analytics requirements
- Commercial acumen - with the ability to understand how value is created and retained within a market or business
- Excellent communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders, 3rd parties, specialists and other colleagues across the business
- Able to create and communicate solutions based on sound evidence and thinking
