An experienced Sales Manager / Sales Office Manager is needed to join our team at Panel Systems based in Sheffield. We are a leading manufacturer that supplies a wide range of market sectors, including construction, automotive, caravans and modular building.

The Company comprises three trading divisions employing 65 people and a combined annual turnover exceeding £13m.

Based at our Waleswood site, the CMC division is responsible for the CNC routing of decorative laminates and sheet material.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing team of professionals

**About the Role**

The primary areas of activity at CMC are bespoke CNC machining of decorative panel components for markets such as lockers, washrooms, exterior furniture, playground equipment, automotive, health and industrial solutions, as well as catering to the supplyand cutting of decorative cladding materials for building facades.

This is a permanent, full-time position which is predominantly office based at our Waleswood factory complex situated 5 mins from junction 31 of the M1 in Sheffield. The position will also involve occasional visits to existing and potential customers acrossthe UK.

You must also be a confident and safe driver with a full clean driver’s licence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing the sales department responsible for the processing of estimates, quotations and sales orders which often involve customer drawings
- Responsible for an additional 1-2 sales colleagues
- New business development with existing, potential and dormant customers
- Managing existing customer relationships
- Maintain and increase sales according to pre-agreed budgets
- Liaison with suppliers regarding pricing, technical support & current developments
- Following up on the progress of key quotations
- Close liaison with the Operations manager and fellow colleagues in the production and CAD departments
- Following up on sales leads and opportunities generated by the company’s website and inside sales team
- Close liaison with fellow divisions
- Preparing a monthly report

**Required Experience**:

- Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
- Strong numerical skills
- Ability to make commercial decisions
- Must be very organised and be able to work under pressure
- Previous experience in a sales role
- Full clean driving licence
- Knowledge of construction and manufacturing industry - preferred but not essential as full product and sector training will be provided
