To manage, implement and deliver the range of key corporate and stakeholder events that support the business development needs identified in the college Strategic Ambition, and support the wider marketing activities of the college.
- To effectively manage, implement and deliver on all aspects of the range of corporate business and stakeholder events.
- Working with the executive and marketing manager to prepare budgets, setting deadlines, creating concepts and identifying and agreeing on the objectives of events.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of events, including use of college facilities for external events.
- Preparing Awards submissions.
- Implementing budget, invoicing and logistics.
- Working with and negotiating with suppliers (internal or external) and monitoring their activities to ensure quality control.
- Managing the promotions, communications and branding aspects of events.
- Preparing relevant reports and making presentations to management before, during and after events.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- SCQF Level 9
- Qualification at SCQF Level 9 in event management, project development and leadership or an associated discipline with demonstration of a genuine interest to progress the work

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Understanding of the practical aspects of event management.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, codes of practice and an awareness of relevant legislation and good practice relating to hosting and arranging events.
- Ability to build appropriate relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and maintain up-to-date records and create reports.
- Understanding and implementation of data protection laws.
- Knowledge and understanding of marketing principles.
- Knowledge and understanding of writing for the media.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Experience in managing and delivering corporate events.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently in a self-directed way with a confident and enthusiastic approach
- Practical knowledge and understanding of the use of social media.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of marketing principles.
- Experience in writing news for the media.
- Use of Adobe products.

**OTHER ABILITIES/QUALITIES**
- Effective prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Able to plan ahead and anticipate support needs.
- Capacity to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information.
- Ability to Travel

**Salary**: £23,768.00 per year
