At St Mocha the Assistant Manager is responsible for increasing profitability, boosting customer engagement, and turning their café into the favourite local hot spot.
By recruiting the best people, following the standards that we have set and managing costs you will be able to effectively run a very successful business.
**Responsibilities and Duties include**:
**People**
- Training of new team members on equipment and spec of product according to SOP’s as well as always giving excellent customer service
- People Management - maintaining great relationships with team members by checking in regularly and communicating well. Supervising team regularly and managing poor performance as well as celebrating success
- Coaching, supporting, and inspiring your team to perform to the best of their abilities
- Always leading by example by following the company principles and standards
- Effective communication with all stakeholders
- Assigning roles and responsibilities to employees for operational efficiency
**Product**
- Orders placed on time and managing storage of all products to ensure nothing is out of date or wasted
- Managing waste and staff meals by recording on stock system, and implementing action plan if required
- Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered
- Entering invoices on Tevalis system correctly from all deliveries
**Profit & Loss**
- Manage labour spend daily in line with budget
- Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers
- Managing Cash and ensuring all practices are followed correctly to minimise variances. Any variances are investigated and actioned.
**Customer**
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
- Resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service
**Other**
- Manage day-to-day operations of the café - ensuring that all pricing is in place and the café is ‘Ready to Serve’
- Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy with cleaning schedules in place and adhered to
- Reporting any maintenance issues as well as IT issues to the appropriate department
- Managing and completing Trail accurately
- Compliant with all Food Safety and Health and Safety protocols
- Audit compliant - managing Directors Audit regularly by ensuring cleaning is up to date as well as food safety and health and safety protocols
**Reports To** - Assistant Manager/Café Manager
**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
