The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is Britain’s national regulator for workplace health and safety. We are dedicated to protecting people and places helping everyone lead safer and healthier lives.

You will be part of HSE’s wider pay and reward team within Human Resources Division (HRD), who provide HR resource across different business areas. Your role will sit within HR supporting the BSR (Building Safety Regulator) HR Business Partner and HR’s contribution to the BSR project.

To deliver the brief you will build strong relationships with SSCL (and MyCSP where required), senior stakeholders, other Government Departments and external bodies driving satisfaction and best practice

**As a** **Pay and Reward Specialist **your main responsibilities would be**:

- Build and maintain strong and productive working relationships with key stakeholders in HSE, and the appointed Employee Services provider (currently SSCL & MyCSP) to enable appropriate services and solutions.
- Work with the HRD team and BSR managers to identify the key business challenges, potential solutions, and the implementation of timebound actions/objectives.
- Act as the SPOC with SSCL, review all interfaces/processes, analyse/identify areas of concern, recommend improvements and implement agreed solutions.
- Communicate all agreed changes to all HSE/BSR employees.
- Monitor and manage agreed KPIs and improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of ongoing pay and reward initiatives/strategies within HSE/BSR, linking with business/operational managers and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment, understanding and effective team working.
- Responsibilities
- Work with HSE’s payroll and employee services provider to on-board employees onto HSE’s payroll and employee MI system (SOP)
- Liaise (as appropriate) with Employee Services on system, fault management, change requests and procedural specific issues,
- Act as intelligent customer for all aspects of Employee service provision
- Monitor and manage the performance of Employee Services against agreed KPIs/service levels.
- Work with HSE’s outsourced payroll /employee services provider to specify the system requirements to support BSR, respond to queries and complaints.
- Where required, liaise with other third-party suppliers (eg MyCSP/Edenred/other) to improve efficiencies and facilitate improvements.
- Contribute to and support the development and design of ongoing pay and reward initiatives such as anew Competency based payment system, in year awards, the updating of pay and reward policies and other continuous improvement initiatives.

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Exposure to TUPE transfers
- Recruitment Onboarding experience
- Set up Payments and rewards pensions etc
- Experience working with external Pay and award outsourcing Companies
- Working with SOP’s (Standard operating Platforms)
- Building Business relationships
