The Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge, is seeking a creative, organised and proactive Communications and Events Coordinator to join its operations team and manage the communications strategy and events for the Department, including websites, newsletter, and social media and as well as providing general administrative support for the Head of Department and Departmental Administrator.

The Communications and Events Coordinator will manage the organisation of Departmental events, workshops, seminar series and committee meetings; and oversee all aspects of event organisation, including promoting the event, attendee list management, programmes, travel bookings, room bookings, audio visual support and catering organisation. The person in post will produce content for the Department website and social media, working closely with our research groups, staff and students. All of these responsibilities will feed into, support and strengthen the Department's brand.

In addition, the Communications and Events Coordinator will support the Head of Department and Departmental Administrator by e.g. managing diaries, setting up complex internal and external meetings, managing meeting follow up activity, supporting committee commitments, processing expenses and updating the Department's Yearly Committee Calendar.
