Reporting to our Head of Finance, the Finance Assistant will be part of the finance team responsible for the management of our third party administration business. The role will be responsible for the payments, reporting and reconciliation of claims payments.

**Job Description**:
Payments
- Processing claims payments using our payment settlement facilitator.
- Set up payments on the banking system within appropriate timeframe.
- Uploading returns payment confirmation files to system.
- Investigating and managing queries on payments sent.
- Importing exchange rates daily.

Banking
- Update bank balances daily, dealing with payments received and updating where applicable.
- Dealing with refunds due and received, updating relevant teams and systems.
- Monitoring float levels and pending claims payments.
- Liaise with clients for cash calls and reimbursement of bordereau and fees.
- Reconciling multi-currency bank accounts.
- Updating and reconciling the credit card log.
- Reconciling historical bank accounts.

Invoicing & Reporting
- Assist with monthly bordereau reports for clients.
- Credit control for claims reporting and fee payments due.
- Invoicing clients in relation to fees and reimbursement costs.

Other
- Managing mailboxes for internal departments and external clients and providers.
- Assist with / own ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Knowledge Skills Abilities (requirements)
- Exceptional level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience of multi-currency.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Competent MS Excel (sort, filter, copy/paste, formatting, basic formulas); Word and Outlook.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills (both written and spoken).
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated with a 'can do’ attitude.
- Experience of making international payments.
- Experience of working in an insurance or compliance environment would be advantageous.
