Part Time Logistics Coordinator / Near Eye, Suffolk / 18 month maternity cover / 6am to 11am / Remote position

We are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join our client on a part time basis. This position is a 18 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave.

6:00am to 11:00am, Monday to Friday.

Salary is dependent on experience.

Duties include:

- Assist with the efficient and smooth planning of deliveries to abattoirs.
- To be responsible for ensuring all delivery documentation and paperwork is correct and complete.
- Updating and notifiying changes to deliveries where applicable, ensuring that communication is appropriate and effective.
- Dealing with customer trace queries from abattoirs.
- Ensuring paperwork for assurance/exports is kept up to date.
- Engaging and dealing with suppliers and hauliers on an ongoing basis, supporting the maintenance of strong relationships.
- Agreeing and confirming haulage costs where applicable.

Skills & Knowledge required:

- Confident communicator, able to deal with multiple channels of communication.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience of logistics planning, including a good geographical knowledge of the UK. Knowledge of Drivers Hours (Regulation (EC) 561/2006) and Working Time Directive 1998 would also be advantageous.

This position will be office based for training then remote working.
