Northumberland County Council is currently seeking highly skilled and experienced individuals to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team as Senior Practitioners. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in Northumberland.

PAYRATE:

- UPTO £37P/H

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Practitioner in the MASH Team, your key responsibilities will include:

- Experienced worker to join MASH team in carrying out assessments of children in need and children at risk of harm.
- Northumberland use SOS practice model knowledge of the model an advantage.
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families, gathering and analyzing information to identify potential risks and safeguarding concerns.
- Ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken in response to safeguarding concerns, including making referrals to appropriate services and coordinating multi-agency interventions.
- Providing consultation and advice to professionals, both internal and external to the MASH Team, regarding safeguarding concerns and the appropriate course of action.
- Providing guidance, support, and supervision to junior staff members within the MASH Team, promoting their professional development and ensuring high-quality practice.
- Participating in regular case discussions and multi-agency meetings to share information, evaluate risks, and develop effective intervention plans.

Essential Requirements:

- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
