Senior Ecologist

**Senior Ecologist - Northumberland**

My client, a passionate ecology consultancy providing ecology solutions as well as protecting and enhancing the UKs wildlife placed. They are currently on the lookout for Senior Ecologist to join their team in Northumberland.

As a senior Ecologist you will be expected to work independently and deliver excellent ecological work in a proactive manner.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Undertake fee proposals
- ecological surveys
- Ecological Impact Assessments.
- Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys / UK HAB surveys.
- Protected Species (with a minimum of two specialisms).
- Responsible for management and delivery of consultancy projects.
- Carry out habitat and protected species surveys including, bats, newts, and dormice.
- Advising clients of constraints and survey requirements.
- Write reports and mitigate issue.
- Liaise with, site managers, engineers, planners, and other associates.

**Requirements**:

- Ecology degree or relevant discipline.
- Ideally, minimum of 3 years' experience in ecology consultancy.
- Member of CIEEM.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Strong project management skills.
- Hold at least one Natural England protected species licence.
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and protocols.
