This is an amazing opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation as their Operations Director. This is a varied role, which is both strategic and functional, where no two days are the same. You will have overall responsibilityfor the Operations teams and will need to be comfortable to work autonomously and be prepared to roll up your sleeves to help out when needed. You will work alongside the Finance Director and Sales & Marketing Director, overseeing all operational aspects of the company and striving to achieve the long-term sales objectives of the company. Amongst many other things, you will spearhead operationaland process efficiencies and improvements, including best practice and new technologies and manage the implementation and roll out of these across the relevant departments. You will help to attract and retain the best quality people within the company andinvest in the relevant training and management to ensure the company has the structure and people skills to achieve its objectives. You will lead the Ethical and Sustainable business practices, both locally and at supplier level, including management of ethicalauditing.

To be successful in this role, you will need outstanding people management and mentoring skills and have the drive and energy to maintain a motivated and high achieving workforce. You will need great commercial acumen and ideally have worked within the FMCGor medical devices industry. You will need previous experience of working at Director level within warehouse, logistics, purchasing or QA and have demonstrable experience of managing strategic change and project management implementation. Advanced Excel knowledgeand experience using Navision would be advantageous and ideally you will have the CIPS qualification or something similar.
