Job Introduction
Here at Sodexo, we have an excellent opportunity for a **Technical Administrator** - Environmental Services to provide administrative support across a high-profile client site in **Stevenage.** Reporting into our UK Environmental Services Operations Manager, your focus will be to provide technical and administrative support to Environmental Services to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of Waste Management services across all sites.

This would be fantastic for someone looking to start their career in environmental operations as a Technical Administrator. What you need is a good level of IT literacy (knowing your way around MS Word and Excel are the key here), bags of initiative and willingness to learn along with great attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks and ever-shifting priorities. Previous experience in waste/environmental operations would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Main Responsibilities
**What you’ll do**:

- Provide technical and administrative support to Environmental Services to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of Waste Management services across all sites
- Plan and organise future scheduled activities and maintain associated records.
- Ensure all statutory and elective training and equipment records are maintained and current.
- Maintain records of waste transfer paperwork, audit schedules, routine tasks, and ensure audit findings and associated actions are resolved.
- Ensure Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance records within Waste Operations are current and compliant.
- Manage the archiving and destruction of waste documentation.
- Organise all collections for Waste for routine and project waste services.
- Technically prepare Materials Acceptance Quantities (MAQ) for hazardous waste shipments for all sites managed Environmental Services.
- Accurately input waste data to client’s EHS portal.
- Provide waste data reports for projects
- Deputise for the Project Waste Specialist in periods of absence. Including the preparation of financial quotes to the customers.
- Review of all financial reports prepared by subcontractors for routine and project works.
- Manage all financial transactions from subcontractors to internal Sodexo internal accounts team in a timely manner.
- Input assessed waste collection forms to database and programme collections with operatives
- Provide general administrative support across Environmental services.
- Maintain formal and informal communications with Clients and Customers.
- Maintain and contribute to a positive working culture and team environment.
- Follow all relevant SOP's and correctly use all IT systems

**What you bring**:

- Relevant consistent administrative experience gained in a technical or operational setting
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Computer literate in Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Accurate data entry
