Job description

Do you have broad based operational experience? Join our dynamic small charity and help us build our operational base to drive efficiency. Responsible for finance, HR and business systems improvements, you will help to build a platform for our charity to more effectively deliver its core purpose of supporting all those affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

You will take responsibility for the operational infrastructure of Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK (SMA UK) including financial controls, premises, IT hardware and support supplier, and HR.

You will have primary responsibility for maintaining and developing all the internal support functions which lead to the smooth running of the organisation. You will directly line manage the bookkeeper and have responsibility for negotiating and maintain contracts with our suppliers such as CRM, IT infrastructure, and landlord.

You will build on our existing systems so that they better meet the needs of a small charity today - including reviewing our HR system and leading on the implementation of a new CRM. You will work with colleagues to understand their role and the role of SMA UK, to recommend and build a suitable internal systems infrastructure.

You will work closely with the CEO and with your service delivery colleagues to understand the needs of the charity today and propose and support changes which will make us a more efficient organisation in the future.
