**Senior Care Assistant** - Hatton Grange
**Location **- Hyde, Manchester
**Salary**:

- £28,165 per annum (£12.86 an hour)
**Shifts **- 3 on 3 off 12 hour days (Days)
**Hours**: 42 per week

Hatton Grange is situated in the centre of Hyde and is easily commutable from Stockport, Manchester and surrounding areas. The central train station is a 10 minute walk away, with buses from Stockport dropping you off around the corner.

We have opportunities for days and night shifts. We work to a 6-week rolling rota on a 3 on 3 off pattern. This means you will work 3 weeks at 48 hours and 3 weeks at 36 hours, averaging out at 42 hours week over the 6 weeks.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Lead the shift and manage all aspects of service delivery to ensure a high standard of care is provided to meet the needs of individual customers.
- Ensure the delivery of a quality of service which meets CQC fundamental standards.
- Manage shift operation including medication, care reviews, delivery of rotas, and compliance with Anchor policies, CQC fundamental standards, and other legislation directly affecting the location and its customers.
- Performance management of the care team, identifying and reporting any incidences of poor practice or abuse in line with the safeguarding policy.
- Escalate concerns/issues to Deputy Manager as appropriate.
- Administering medication and managing any medication errors.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience of working in a customer-focused environment is essential.
- Knowledge of the needs of older people and care setting.
- Care level 3 diploma or team leading qualification.
- NCFE Certificate Level 2 in handling medication
- Strong people management skills, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, safeguarding of vulnerable adults, Mental Capacity Act and deprivation of liberty.
- Experience of delivering hands-on care and previous people management experience is desirable.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and work under pressure.
- Flexible and reliable with an approachable attitude.
