The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.
Duties will include:
- To deliver administrative processes across the Faculty as determined by the Faculty Registrar.
- To deliver front-line administrative services within their allocated domain or cohort, including day-to-day academic and student enquiries and preparation and sending of communications to stakeholders.
- To support the Faculty’s senior administrative staff to maintain the necessary resources for the delivery of the curriculum and to liaise with academic staff as necessary to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the curriculum.
- To provide support - face-to-face and online to students across the faculty.
- To liaise with staff in the University’s Student Services Teams to ensure students are correctly signposted to University services.
- To liaise with staff in the University’s Student Administration Team to ensure accurate student records are maintained.

Knowledge of eVision/SITS would be advantageous although full training will be given.

**Role Purpose**:
- Faculty Administrators are accountable to the Faculty Registrar for the delivery of administrative processes within an allocated disciplinary domain and/or student cohort, the domain and/or cohort, where applicable, to be made clear through the use of supplementary parenthensis in the job title.
- Post-holders will deliver front-line administrative services within their allocated domain or cohort, including day-to-day academic and student enquiries, attendance monitoring, examinations and assessment and maintaining a customer-service based approach to the delivery of services.
- Post-holders will report directly to the Faculty Administration Manager that reports to the Faculty Registrar.
**Skills & Experience**:
**Experience and Knowledge**
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Understanding of University structures and systems, and wider sector/external awareness.
- Ability to contribute to process development.
- Proactively engage in continuing professional development/training to keep knowledge and skills up-to-date.
**Communication**
The ability to communicate information, both orally and in writing, taking into account what to communicate and how best to convey the information. Information will be generally routine in nature and may include: explaining procedures and processes to others and signposting stakeholders to the most appropriate services for their needs.
**Liaison**
The ability to proactively and reactively liaise with internal contacts in order to build relationships, disseminate information and co-ordinate activities in a timely and effective manner.
**Decision Making**
The ability to make timely and considered decisions, seeking guidance from senior staff where necessary, which will typically have an impact for individuals or limited groups of individuals across a specific domain or cohort.
**Initiative**
The ability to use initiative and creativity, drawing on experience and expertise, to resolve standard problems which require a process of reasoning; routine student enquiries/complaints.
