**About STEPS Rehabilitation**
STEPS is a purpose-built 23-bedroom, unique rehabilitation facility, able to deliver high-quality care from a range of medical and rehabilitation specialists on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield. It is a unique environment that provides rehabilitation to clients who have suffered serious injuries and debilitating neurological illnesses.
STEPS has been designed to feel non-clinical, comfortable and homely and we hope you will agree STEPS is like no other care facility you will have worked in. Our specialists work collaboratively under one roof and clients can access a wide range of therapies and specialist robotic and VR rehabilitation equipment. You will be working within our interdisciplinary team comprised of Consultants in rehabilitation medicine; spinal injuries, amputations, anaesthetics, plastic surgery and pain management, physiotherapists; occupational therapists; speech and language therapists; neuro-psychologists; neurologic music therapist; prosthetic and orthotic specialists and amongst other nurses experienced in complex care. **Role Summary**
This is an exciting new opportunity to work alongside our Senior Assistant Psychologist and Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist to support the clients’ Rehabilitation journey at STEPS.
You will provide high-quality therapy input to our clients under the direction of our Senior Assistant Psychologist and Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist. To work as a key member of the interdisciplinary team with clients throughout their journey in a manner aligned with STEPS values and behaviours.
You will contribute to the aims and outcomes of the service by providing support and assistance to the psychological therapies team.
You will enable, support and assist clients who are receiving individual treatment programmes which have been agreed with and planned by the psychological therapies team.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- To conduct mood assessments with clients. All work will be supervised by Senior Assistant Psychologist
- To assist in the delivery of low-level therapeutic interventions, under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Psychologist or the Solution Focused Hypnotherapist
- To assist the psychology therapies team in providing therapeutic group intervention
- To assist in developing training to professionals and non-professionals involved in offering input to the STEPS clients
- To participate in professional training and development activities relevant to the job role and specific to psychology and solution focused hypnotherapy
- To provide support and guidance to other members of the interdisciplinary team, including the Rehabilitation Assistants and student therapists
- To support and enhance the STEPS psychology service by carrying out clinically related administration, audits and research projects contributing to service delivery and development
- To maintain accurate and contemporaneous notes according to STEPS standards recording client progress in the case notes
- To undertake data collection, analysis, the production of reports and summaries, using IT and statistical programmes
- To promote and monitor the accurate recording of behavioural data within the service, and to prepare behavioural reports for client review meetings
- To contribute to client review meetings
- To contribute to service development initiatives and promote high quality care for clients at all times
- To contribute to the weekend therapy provision
**Person Specification**
**Essential**
- Excellent organisational skills, maintaining detailed electronic records
- Excellent communication skills, both orally & written
- Research skills Computer literate, knowledge of Word & Excel
- An understanding of the needs of people with acquired/progressive neurological conditions
- Experience of working within governance frameworks e.g. clinical systems/data management
- Demonstrable experience and working knowledge of the new GDPR
