Were currently looking for a Third Party Claims Handler, specifically with experience dealing with defended claims. RTA experience is a must, along with excellent liability knowledge.

As a Third Party Claims Handler with S&G you will provide a professional, technical, and efficient third-party claims handling service. You will be defending claims on behalf of Insurers whilst providing the highest standards of quality and customer service. The role will involve the day-to-day efficient handling of end-to-end third party claims while meeting our Insurer Principals requirements.

There will also be subrogated recovery claims to deal with and recovering our Principals outlay from the responsible Insurer. You will represent the Company in both verbal and written interactions between clients, policy holders and suppliers. A large proportion of this contact is via telephone communication. You must also ensure that the claim file data is kept up to date and accurate through the Claims Management System.

There will be a comprehensive training plan covering the first three months of your role.

**Key Accountabilities**
- To process new claims efficiently and accurately on behalf of the Companys Insurer Principal while building relationship between customer and company.
- To investigate the circumstances of the claim and assess all information to determine possible outcomes and cost assessment on each claim.
- To liaise with external stakeholders gaining further information as part of defending the claim
- To confidently liaise and negotiate with the third parties and their representatives to minimise the claim risk and maximise efficiency, mitigating the third-party claim.
- To adhere to current processes and compliance requirements.
- To liaise with customers, insurers, repairers, engineers and others as needed, maintaining contact and resolving any issues.
- Identifying and resolving any potential fraud or repudiation.
- Handling subrogated recovery claims.
- Achieve monthly KPI targets as communicated by management.
- Promote the corporate image of S&G and S&Gs clients through providing the highest quality of customer service.
- To liaise with other departments as appropriate to minimise customer inconvenience and maximise the efficiency of the claims procedure.

**Qualifications, knowledge & experience**

Essential
- Minimum 2 years experience of defended Third-party motor damage claims
- Detailed knowledge of liability and RTA case law
- Strong knowledge of the recovery process
- Awareness of the triggers for early identifications of injury claims or large losses
- Good negotiation skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Ability to build great relationships
- Strong teamwork philosophy
- Attention to detail and accurate processing
- Excellent written skills

- MS Office skills
- Able to articulate and interpret information.
