Recovery Claims Handler
**A quick look at the role**
Working as a claim handler in our recoveries department, you will represent the innocent victims of road accidents, who have suffered loss, because of someone else’s negligent driving. You will be responsible for recovering our client’s losses from insurance companies. These will include credit hire charges and repair costs or the vehicle value.
This is an interesting and constantly evolving, technical area of negligence law. You will assess the recoverability of our client’s losses, to obtain the most favourable settlement for our customer.
People who succeed in this role exhibit tenacity, an ability to overcome problems with lateral thinking, attention to detail and strong skills of critical analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, support a strong, confident ability to negotiate.
**Who are we and why are we recruiting**
These are exciting times for the QDOS Group. Our businesses are growing exponentially based on our strong reputation for providing technical excellence and outstanding customer service in everything that we do. We are realizing our ambition to become the best in the industry and we are looking to recruit amazing people, who wish to develop themselves professionally, to join our team and support our mission.
This is an excellent time for ambitious people, looking to begin or elevate a rewarding career, within a developing organisation. It is also a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to join a company with an established human-centric culture, that treats people with respect and values them for the contribution they make to the business.
**What we do and what we stand for**
We are the only Group in the UK to combine decades of experience in accident management, with our own firm of solicitors and breakdown insurance and recovery services. That valuable mix of capabilities are unique and combined with our passion for helping more people than anyone else, set us apart in our industry.
Our success rests in the little bits of brilliance inherent in our people, which begin where the processes end. While we are technologically sophisticated, we remain true to our core principle of technical excellence and invest in the knowledge and ability of our people. Our bespoke systems are designed to augment the claims handling process rather than prescribe what people should do. This means the roles we offer remain challenging and rewarding and we encourage our people to utilise their skills, which we will help them develop, to help our customers.
These are our core values;
- Team
- Outstanding Customer Service
- Considerate
- Technical Excellence
- High Quality
- Continual Improvement
**Our Policy on People**
Rather than hit you with a load of corporate waffle, we felt our people would offer more meaningful insight into QDOS than we can
“_Working at QDOS for the last year or so has been an absolute pleasure. Employees are given leeway to get the job done, with no micro-management from supervisors. There is an excellent balance of give and take, where employees are trusted to complete tasks and are encouraged to step in and take on more responsibility. The atmosphere is positive and inviting, and it is a great place to work. Everyone is able to take breaks when needed and take enough time to complete tasks, making it a very productive and efficient workplace. It is extremely rewarding and hard work is always recognised, it would be difficult to find another office with an environment like ours at QDOS_”
