**About the Role**

As a Housing Solutions & Support Lead in our newly transformed Community Housing Service, you'll be leading the Housing Solutions & Support Services to reduce homelessness and rough sleeping in the Borough.

Everyday is different in this role You may be working with partners to deal with tricky legal cases, as well as leading your large and disperse team so that they are clear on the vision & direction of travel. You will also need to keep up with legislation and best practice to ensure you're being seen as the expert on Homelessness in the organisation.

When you join us, you will be involved in transforming our Housing Floating Support services to deliver against a new specification and ensuring the newly restructured Housing Solutions teams delivers great outcomes for Homeless Households. You will also have a chance to make your mark on a newly restructured service with the freedom to set new targets, work with the team to design better ways of working and bring innovation and good practice into the service.

We are a hybrid working organisation and you will be required to work on site at least twice a week.

The Community Housing Service helps people secure and keep accommodation and avert crisis. We provide a range of housing and homelessness prevention support across Kingston. This is an exciting time to join us, we are transforming the service with a focus on a resilient and efficient service that prevents homelessness and puts customers at its heart.

Back in 2018, we were a Prevention Trailblazer and although the current housing market is making this increasingly challenging, we have a strong track record of preventing homelessness.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a newly restructured service to increase homelessness prevention outcomes and provide motivation to your large multiple disciplinary team to deliver high quality outcomes.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Have worked in homelessness for a significant amount of time and have experience in providing housing related support to vulnerable residents.
- Have an excellent understanding of the Housing Act 1996 as well as the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Knowledge of policy, procedures and practices in homelessness and rough sleeping and support services.
- Proven track record of delivering complex change projects that deliver real service improvement and cost reduction.
- Understanding of contract management and performance monitoring
- Have strong leadership skills, modelling a performance culture and constructively building achievement, confidence and skills in others in a high pressure, challenging front-line environment.
- Proven track record of developing and leading collaborative partnerships with stakeholders in the public, private and voluntary and community sectors
- Experience of managing complex budgets
- Ability to develop coherent strategies and programmes of work, including those involving external partners.
