**Senior Programme Manager**

We are looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to join World Vision, an organisation building brighter futures for vulnerable children.

**Position**: Senior Programme Manager

**Location**: Milton Keynes, London or Hybrid

**Hours**: Full-time - 36.5 hours per week

**Contract**: Fixed-Term (18 months)

**Salary**: circa £44,100 per annum + good range of benefits

**About the role**:
World Vision UK has set up a team to lead the Somalia Crisis Recovery Programme, funded by the World Bank through the Federal Government of Somalia. The programme was implemented through the SomReP consortium and has supported the recovery of communitiesin Somalia impacted by floods and drought and strengthened capacity for disaster preparedness.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Manage delivery of the SCRP outputs in accordance with the contract terms and indicators and quality standards agreed with the Federal Government of Somalia.
- Support the WV Somalia SCRP Senior Programme Manager in managing relationships between the consortium partners to ensure the integrated delivery of the programme remains integrated and all partners achieve their outcomes, and that any conflicts are resolved.
- Manage the relationship and communications with the Federal Government of Somalia for this programme on behalf of WVUK and the consortium. Support other SCRP staff in engaging stakeholders at other levels to ensure consistency in communication.
- Ensure that risks associated with the delivery of the programme, including programmatic, financial and reputational risks are identified and appropriately managed.
- Support the Programme Finance Officer with contract financial management, ensuring good value for money in programme delivery to ensure that funder requirements are met.
- Manage and chair regular programme team and steering committee meetings consisting of all partners, ensuring decisions and recommendations are agreed upon and actioned.
- Manage reporting to WVUK and the Federal Government of Somalia on all aspects of the programme, in conjunction with consortium partners, to ensure timely payment.

**About you**:
For the role of Senior Programme Manager, you will be able to build open and accountable relationships and partnerships with key external stakeholders to achieve agreed upon goals to broaden our impact. You will be able to adapt your communication stylesand language to positively impact different individuals or groups as well as negotiate well, with purpose and integrity. You will also have the ability to monitor, analyse and manage risks appropriately to inform decision-making and actions.

To perform well in this role, you’ll need:

- Excellent knowledge of the development and humanitarian sector, including policies and approaches to effective work in fragile states.
- Proven experience in programme, financial and compliance management work, in the development or humanitarian sector, ideally within a fragile context.
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence in complex grant programme management, including monitoring, and financial and risk management. Experience in managing DFID grants is particularly desired.
- Experience in managing multi agency, multi stakeholder programmes, including experience in managing partners or sub-contractors, demonstrating strong coordination and facilitation skills.
- Proven track record in risk mitigation.
