**Senior Philanthropy Manager**

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Philanthropy Manager with a desire to help the world's most at-risk children.

**Position**: Senior Philanthropy Manager

**Location**: Flexibility between home-based or office-based at headquarters in Milton Keynes/London Hub

**Hours**: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**:Starting from £36,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

**About the role**:
As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will be working within the newly formed Strategic Partnerships Department (SPD), the Senior Philanthropy Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Philanthropy team in bringing excellent relationship buildingabilities and a passion to support the world’s most vulnerable children. This externally facing role will be responsible for stewarding existing donor relationships, and for generating and managing new high-value relationships and networks. Responsibilitieswill also involve desk-based research and administrative support across the Philanthropy team.

A key focus will be providing lead support to the organisation’s empowering girls and women initiative, Strong Women Strong World. If you are an exceptional relationship builder with significant experience gained at a senior level working with High Net-worthindividuals or in relationship /account management roles we would love to hear from you.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Actively seek opportunities to create new relationships and partnerships through networking and attending external events.
- Explore and lead new philanthropic approaches such as new giving clubs or circles, maximising peer-to-peer approaches, and events.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Strategic Partnerships Department, the Policy and Advocacy team, and the Chief Executive’s Office to ensure external relationship opportunities are maximised and collaboratively delivered.
- Explore new approaches and opportunities to increase emergency / humanitarian giving from philanthropists.
- Personally deliver £5m of income annually, through securing seven figure gifts to support the organisation’s mission to help the world’s most vulnerable children.
- Manage a portfolio of between 60 and 80 existing and new donors and relationships, ensuring progress through the stages of identification, cultivation, ask and stewardship and providing the highest standards of relationship experience.
- Develop and implement strategic, culturally relevant, creative, and bespoke donor plans.
- Produce high-quality written proposals and reports and verbal presentations tailored specifically to inspire and captivate donors.
- Be abreast of trends in Philanthropy and innovative finance, including impact and social investing, catalytic capital, and blended finance to inform new strategies and approaches to the organisation’s Philanthropy strategy.

**About you**:
As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will have excellent relationship building abilities and an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset to join a vibrant Philanthropy team and play a pivotal role at an exciting time in its development. You will manage a portfolioof existing major donors as well as seeking opportunities to create new relationships and partnerships.

We are looking for someone with the ability to influence, be persuasive and credible at the most senior levels with an energy and passion for the organisation’s mission and vision to serve the world’s most vulnerable children.

To perform well in this role, you’ll need:

- Ability to achieve financial and non-financial targets.
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with proven experience of managing a varied and creative workload with competing tasks and priorities.
- Sound IT skills in standard Microsoft packages.
- A creative thinker: able to use initiative to develop philanthropy plans and create engaging resources.
- Ability to manage own workload and a portfolio of different relationships.
