Customer Service Advisor

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor/Administration to join our family run company, we specialise in the manufacturer and distributor of staircase products.
The role is 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm, including one Saturday a month working 8 am - 12pm.
The main function of the role will be to assist and advise customers and process their orders.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and attend to customers in the showroom in a professional and polite manner.
- Assist both trade and general public customers over the phone and in the showroom with placing orders.
- Process orders placed on all sales platforms, using our in house system.
- Various other tasks on our in house system, such as but not limited to:
- Create purchase orders
- Set up new customers
- Amend existing customer orders
- Check stock
- Produce quotes for customers using measurement and product knowledge
- Send Purchase Orders for special items
- Being the first point of contact for all telephone enquiries.
- Liaise with couriers regarding delivery of orders to customers.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and services, and offers technical support and information to team members, customers and stakeholders.
- Use initiative to research competitor’s website and products and report back
- Look at our website and sales platforms to do random checks and ensure all products are listed correctly.
- General housekeeping in showroom, ensure the showroom is in a presentable condition and cards and stock are always filled up. Report any issues with the showroom to the relevant person.
- General office & clerical duties as and when required.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Use initiative to problem solve.
- Be able to think on their feet in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good accuracy and organisational skills.
- The ability to work to targets and deadlines and be able to multitask.
- Excellent IT skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as using initiative and working independently.
- The ability to be flexible and have a 'can do’ attitude.

**Salary**: £25,515.40 per year
