Axcis Education is currently looking for a youth worker to work at an alternative provision based in Skelmersdale. This is a full time position starting as soon as possible. You would be working 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday, either as a 1-1 or in small groups. The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, who cannot remain in mainstream education. A lot of the students have additional needs such as autism and ADHD.

Previous experience working with social, emotional and mental health needs is essential. The role can be challenging at times so previous experience working with challenging behaviour and pupils that are difficult to reach is also desirable. You must be resilient and passionate about making a difference.
