I am recruiting for a Personal Care Assistant to support me in accessing the local community, helping me to pursue my interests and engage in other social activities. The role will include accompanying me swimming, shopping, and going to the cinema.

I am a wheelchair user, so some physical work will be required.

A clean driver’s licence and access to a car is essential. Business Class insurance will be needed.

Duties
- Assistance with dressing/undressing (swimming/gym)
- Drive to and from and provide assistance with social activity
- Assistance in and out of a vehicle
- Loading wheelchair in and out of car
- Companionship

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria
- The employee must be responsible and reliable
- The employee must be a good timekeeper
- The employee must be trustworthy
- The employee must have flexibility in their ability to support the working hours expected of them and consideration of any additional hours on request
- The employee must be willing to undertake any necessary training as required to carry out the duties of this post

Desirable Criteria
- Principal of Care training or relevant experience
- Health and Safety training or relevant experience
- Health Promotion training or relevant experience
- First Aid Awareness training or relevant experience

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week

Day range:

- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- Day shift

Work Location: In person
