Planning/ Procurement Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a **Planning/ Procurement Administrator** to join our **Planning/ Procurement Team** based at our site in Glenrothes. This role reports to the Planning & Procurement Manager.
**Position Summary**:
To provide support to the planning and procurement function to help achieve operational objectives and ensure factory production and stock levels are effectively maintained to meet requirements.
**Essential Functions**:
- Updating daily output information and managing planning spreadsheets to ensure they are kept accurate.
- Monitoring daily planning MRP outputs and advising of any issues.
- Maintain planning capacity sheets to ensure accuracy in order to fully support the planning process.
- Daily review of purchase requests and where appropriate processing of the orders.
- Accurately record order delivery dates to ensure the most up to date information is always available.
- Maintain supplier and product data to ensure it is accurate and up to date to support the MRP process.
- Ad-hoc administrative duties to maintain the overall efficiencies of the planning and procurement department.
- Deputise for planners and buyers in their absence.
- Identify and Communicate issues in a timely manner within the supply chain planning team.
**Additional Responsibilities**:
- Assist in monitoring raw material stock levels and identifying requirements.
- To produce weekly reports/ KPI’s for Planning and Procurement Department.
- Ensuring all relevant files and documentation are effectively stored.
**Education, Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Experience**:
**Qualifications**
- Good Higher/GSCE grades, including English and Maths.
**Experience**
- Operating in a fast-paced environment to challenging deadlines.
- Background in manufacturing is advantageous.
- Working within Supply Chain / Planning / Buying team would be advantageous
- Previous experience working with MRP / ERP System is desirable.
**Skills**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong MS office, including intermediate Excel.
- Exceptional team player.
- A positive can-do attitude.
- Self-motivated and a flexible approach to workload and tasks.
**Work Environment/Physical Demands**:
- Fast paced office environment.
- Manufacturing environment.
**Travel**:
- There is limited travel for this role.
