Senior Buyer

Our highly successful Scottish based, and privately owned manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer. The company works with customers globally and offering a diverse product range supports a range of industries including Industrial, medical, consumer and automotive. This includes start-ups, academia and multinational corporations. This is a fantastic role for someone who can work directly with suppliers and build long lasting relationships.

Responsibilities include:

- Establish a professional relationship with suppliers ensuring you work closely and are kept informed of any changes that impact the business.
- Work closely with the finance team monitoring invoices and payments
- Mentor and support the develop of existing team.
- Negotiating with international suppliers, driving supplier reviews, audits and contract agreements
- Daily procurement tasks, obtaining quotes, placing purchase orders and analysing data in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions.
- Identify potential savings and implement cost reduction initiatives for goods and services across the business.

This is an exciting hands on procurement role with management responsibility for a buyer who will support with the day to day procurement activities.

**Salary**: £29,711.26-£47,785.91 per year
