About the role_**

Are you looking for a career where you can really make a difference? Come and join us as a Procurement Specialist (Materials) in our EDF Renewables Asset Operations Team

As our Procurement Specialist for Materials within our Asset Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering activities related to the Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) activities of operating our assets where procurement of materials is required.

You will support procurement activities associated with the general management of operational assets including, identification and selection of suppliers, negotiation and award of contract, preparing, evaluating tenders and preparing purchase orders and contracts for materials. You will work in consultation with the wider asset operations team in accordance with best-value and approved company procedures.

A challenge of this role is that you must fulfil a significant amount of demand as there are circa 400 wind turbines that require materials and services.

What you’ll be doing_**

As our Procurement Specialist for Materials, you will be required to support the asset operations procurement team to initiate and implement plans, including obtaining buy-in from key internal stakeholders.

You will lead and manage procurement activities required for existing operational assets to agreed commercial objectives and in line with approved procedures including (but not limited to):

- Determining the appropriate method for acquisition
- Prepare procurement and contract documentation.
- Consulting relevant technical, HSE, Quality, legal and financial functions
- Preparation and issue of requests for quotation/invitations to tender.
- Evaluation of tenders and contract award
- Leading on contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure savings are achieved.
- Benchmarking and market research

What do you need to be great at this role?_**

You will be CIPS level 4 qualified ideally with ability to demonstrate strong supply chain and procurement experience. You will have the ability to manage procurement activities on business systems (IFS/SAP) and be able to act as a point of reference for business users.

You will have a strong track record of procuring external contracted engineering & specialist materials in an operational environment.

Renewables experience is not essential but would be desirable.

NnG is a 448MW offshore wind farm, currently in construction, off the east coast of Scotland. The Offshore Site is located approximately 15.5 km from Fife Ness and 16 km from the Isle of May and covers an area of approximately 105 km2.

Construction started offshore in 2020 and is ongoing, with the wind farm expected to reach first power in July 2023 and complete commissioning in early 2024.
