**Accounts Assistant** **required (immediate start available)**

**Salary range**: £25k - 35k dependent on experience.

**Hours of Work**: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am till 5.00pm or 9am -6pm.

**Location**: Basingstoke /Office based

Due to company growth, Tomato Energy is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant.

You will be responsible for the transactional account's functions, which will include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and any other accounting duties required.

This role will require a high level of flexibility and the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced but friendly office environment.

To qualify for this position, you must have experience working in a finance/payroll department and ideally have more than two years of experience in a payroll sector.

**Essential Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Proven experience in accounting or a related field
- Processing payroll for approx. 100 staff members
- Managing payroll records including, starters, leavers, absences, salary changes, pension deductions and various other pay adjustments.
- Processing payments
- Bookkeeping duties such as recording, updating, and reconciling financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Maintain a clear and accurate record of company's financial transactions.

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive and a willingness to learn
- Proficient in SAGE/XERO
- Good working knowledge of payroll legislation
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Xero: 1 year (required)
