**Overview**

This global organisation based in Basingstoke, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy Accounts team.

This temporary full-time role is offered on a hybrid working scheme and would suit someone who has previous experience working in an accounts department and who is immediately available or available at short notice.

This is a temporary role with a strong likelihood that this position will be made permanent.

**Accounts Assistant - About the Role**

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for a variety of accounts activities which will include:

- Cash posting and forecasting
- Bank balance maintenance.
- Month end cash file.
- Assistance processing timesheets
- Preparation of audit documents
- Intercompany invoice and reconciliation support
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Managing and responding to queries
- Assisting with month end duties
- Assisting with national statistics reports
- Assisting Accounts Payable team as required.

**The successful Accounts Assistant will have**:

- Previous experience of working in an accounts department
- Ability to work on initiative and independently
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
