The Library’s Skills Centre supports students to develop skills for academic success through a programme of workshops, webinars, 1-1 appointments and online resources. As an Academic Skills Adviser you will work as part of a team of study skills professionals to provide high quality and inclusive learning to support university teaching, learning and assessment which enables students to progress and thrive.

You will have responsibility for providing a consistent and professional skills service. Working collaboratively as a member of the team in the planning, development and delivery of the Library’s Skills Centre plan.

You will also contribute to the setting of quality standards, monitoring performance and demonstrating impact. You will deliver group and one to one support to students on range of academic skills topics using online tools to support synchronous and asynchronous delivery formats.
- experience of designing, developing and delivering academic skills training and support in an HE context
- experience of developing accessible study skills materials using a range of software and media
- experience of leading operational strands of work within a team
