**Temporary Between September 2023 - August 2024**

**3 days per week; 34 weeks (Term Time only)**

**£29,286 per annum pro rata**

Sheffield Futures is a dynamic, independent charity, supporting communities and helping young people, particularly the vulnerable, to achieve their full potential in learning, employment and life.

We currently have an opportunity for a part time, qualified IAG/Careers Adviser to deliver careers advice in a number of schools in Sheffield, 3 days per week on a temporary basis starting September until August 2024, termtime only.

**The Role**
- Must hold a **Level 6 qualification in advice and guidance**
- You will have experience of working with young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years on an individual basis or in groups / classroom settings.
- You will need to be approachable and articulate, be organised and methodical and have excellent administration and IT skills.
- You will take a collaborative approach and be able to demonstrate building and maintaining effective internal and/or external relationships.
- You will have relevant experience of motivating, mentoring and guiding young people in relation to providing the most appropriate careers advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise, work flexibly and meet deadlines
- Confidence to advise, negotiate and influence
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Work effectively alone and as part of a team.
- An understanding of client referral to appropriate services and experience of safeguarding and child protection issues is also essential.

**This role requires an enhanced DBS check.**
