Housing Officer, Sevenoaks, Mon-Fri, Must be able to drive, £14.50 per hour
Job Purpose - To assist the Director of Housing with the day-to-day management and procurement of housing services to our Tenants within the South London region. To liaise and support our approved care providers in their responsibility to deliver quality care& support to our Tenants.
Key Responsibilities

- To support all operational activities that fulfils the Charities stated objectives.
- To actively communicate and liaise with all service organisations in the provision of supported accommodation for our Tenants.
- To support the maintenance of housing procurement networks to maintain our ability to provide quality accommodation to Commissioners of our services.
- To assist the Director of Housing in securing suitable accommodation in a timely manner that meets assessed needs for the referred Tenant/s.
- To operate in line with the Charities policies and/or any prevailing agreements with commissioning authorities.
- To assist in preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of lease properties in accordance with quality assurance standards.
- To ensure all properties meet minimum H&S standards as determined by policy and/or any prevailing agreements with commissioning authorities.
- To assist the Director of Housing in ensuring that assessed Housing Support for each individual Tenant & project that is provided on behalf of HA is delivered in accordance with the terms of agreements prevailing at any given time.
- To complete and monitor H&S risk assessments as directed, including Fire Risk Assessments annually.
- Carry out the inspection all properties within the region at least twice per annum.
- To support the regions financial targets and to ensure that agreed delegated budget targets are met or bettered.

General Responsibilities

- To portray and promote a positive image of our services and of the Tenants that we support.
- To assist in developing operational systems that enhances the outcomes of services to our Tenants.
- To establish and maintain an effective maintenance on-call service that fulfils in a timely manner all emergency and/or general out-of-office hours demands upon our service.
- To be flexible and where necessary 'hands-on' in ensuring a quality housing support service is delivered to our tenants in a timely manner and in accordance with contractual agreements.
- To undertake any reasonable task as designated by the Director of Housing, that your skills and experience would indicate competency to complete such tasks.

- To be committed to active participation in supervision and annual appraisals.
- To proactively approach personal objectives to ensure both personal and organisational growth.
- To help identify and participate in appropriate training and personal development that meets both personal and organisational objectives.
- To keep abreast of new developments within the Housing, Benefits and LD sectors and proactively share information and learning with others.
