My client is the world's most awarded agency servicing complex markets and they are now looking for an experienced senior leader in digital strategy to join their busy performance marketing team.
The role is instrumental in dictating media strategy and campaign planning across paid search, paid social, programmatic display, content syndication and out of home campaigns for globally recognised client brands.
The Digital Media Strategy Director is responsible for leading the development of global, data-driven media strategies and presenting these to clients, with a strong focus on performance and insight-driven recommendations.

You need to be independent, self-organising, and self-motivated with a strategic and commercial head on your shoulders. You'll be an excellent communicator with a strong media background, able to gain buy-in from key client stakeholders for your strategic approach.
The role is offered as either fully remote (UK only), or hybrid working from the London or Norwich offices, working closely with the performance marketing team (Norwich, London and remote across the UK) and global client services teams based in the UK (3 offices)and US (5 offices).
Key Responsibilities
- Senior leadership for digital media strategies for enterprise clients. Defining media plans and strategy for existing and new clients, defining channels and budget allocations using available research from platforms like Global Web Index as well as your considerableexperience to inform your media strategy.
- Take the lead on client-facing discussions in relation to media planning and strategy, being both a pitch-winner and a strategic lead consultant for major global brands.
- Drive agency innovation and impact by proactively identifying client and agency business opportunities to maintain my client's status as a global marketing leader, including identification and onboarding of new media channels
- Ensure that your strategy is being correctly deployed by trafficking and optimisation teams within the agency, acting as the senior agency stakeholder for media campaign performance.
- In flight cross-channel optimisation, providing insight and strategic recommendations about budget reallocation to achieve client performance objectives
- Reporting back to clients on media effectiveness, including recommendations on attribution models to effectively measure the impact of our activity and providing ongoing strategic direction to clients and internal delivery teams
- Lead on campaign reporting and post-campaign analysis
- Oversight of QA for strategic output from the agency, ensuring high quality standards are met and providing mentorship and training for more junior members of the team as necessary
Skills required:

- Strong, senior-level experience in digital media planning/buying roles with a background in performance marketing as well as brand-driving media
- Demonstrable ability to drive agency innovation and cutting edge solutions to complex client challenges
- Highly analytical, capable of making and advising on data-driven strategic decisions for global enterprise clients
- Considerable experience with hands on execution across multiple biddable media platforms across search, social and programmatic, and the ability to integrate these media channels into a single, platform-agnostic media plan that drives client performance
- Great communication skills - good at expressing reasoning and recommendations both verbally and written
- Proven ability to win large media clients, having been involved in agency new business pitches in a central role.
- Experience with working with senior level stakeholders within both client organisations and agencies
- Comfortable having client facing relationships and confident presenting / ability to think through things with clients
- Ability to deliver high-quality work to short deadlines
