**Day-to-day responsibilities**

Ethypharm works closely with the authorities and healthcare professionals to ensure that its medicines are used appropriately and that patients have access to them.

We are recruiting a **Production Lead** who will responsible for leading their team to achieve the production targets whilst meeting all expectations with respect to Health and Safety, Quality, and Delivery whilst remaining cost aware. Supporting the growth of the Production team through a coaching culture and illustrating a challenging, collaborative, continuous improvement mindset.

Day to day responsibilities
- Ensures that the working environment is safe through risk assessment, action completion, proactive hazard identification and rectification, and effective communication
- Assures product quality through strict adherence to GMP, training of staff, effective supervision and proactive process improvement
- Continued presence, support and review of all activities within your area
- To support and lead the team ensuring the daily schedule is delivered in a timely manner resulting in productivity being maximised, and that events are correctly documented
- Carrying out performance reviews and development plans for each member of your staff to ensure an engaged and motivated team
- With support from the Site Training and Development Manager, generate departmental training plans which identify and address skills gaps with appropriate tools for criteria based assessments
- Creates opportunities for team members and rewards and recognises others when they demonstrate desired ‘Continuous Improvement’ behaviours
- Ensure they have a team of trained individuals who are complaint and knowledgeable of regulations, with the fundamental understanding of "why" we do what we do
- Owning the SOP training matrix for your Production team. Complete training folder audits
- Working closely with the Training and Development team to ensure all mandatory training sessions are attended by Production staff through accurate and close administration of the attendance sheets, communicating these commitments to the planning team for resource capacity planning
- Instigate Change Controls and support yellow belt projects.

**Skills/Experience**
- Educated to A’ Level/NVQ level or equivalent
- At least 3 years managerial experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing environment
- Experience of delivering on-the-job training
- Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of resolving minor breakdowns on production/plant equipment and basic engineering issues
- Knowledge of Aseptic filling process
- Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Basic working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in a manufacturing environment
