As the team leader, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the operational effectiveness of our manufacturing department. You will lead and nurture a team to uphold quality standards, meet cost targets, and consistently deliver orders on time while adhering to company guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Production Performance**:Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) within the production area, including yield, waste, regrade, quality, safety, efficiency, and labor variance.
**2. Employee Performance**: Oversee and enhance the performance of your team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
**3. Cross-functional Collaboration**: Cultivate strong working relationships with various departments, such as Engineering, Stores, Health and Safety, Production, Technical, Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, NPD, and HR.
**4. Audit Compliance**: Ensure compliance with audits and take necessary actions to address any findings promptly.
**5. Efficient Production**: Efficiently execute the production plan in your area, focusing on maximizing yield, minimizing downtime, and reducing waste.
**6. Motivation and Goal Achievement**: Inspire your team to meet volume targets, achieve positive yield variance, and manage costs effectively, all while surpassing quality standards.
**7. Project Support**: Collaborate with management in identifying, developing, and implementing relevant departmental projects and initiatives.
**8. Environmental, Health & Safety**:Maintain departmental efficiency while adhering to all environmental, health, safety, and quality standards outlined in company policies and procedures.
**9. Role Clarity Clearly** define the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for your supervisors, line leaders, and operatives to ensure they understand their performance objectives.
**Qualifications**:
**1. Management Experience**: Proven experience at the management level within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.
**2. Quality and Compliance**:Demonstrate a commitment to integrity, a strong understanding of quality processes and systems, and compliance with a Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
**3. Financial Acumen**:Exhibit financial understanding and business acumen to effectively manage costs and resources.
**Salary**: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
