The Mathematics Resources Centre (MASH) within the Skills Centre is looking for a Statistics Coordinator & Teaching Fellow.

This is a part-time position of 7.3 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 9 months.

We are looking for someone with applied statistics and high-level communication skills to:

- provide expert advice, to undergraduates, postgraduates or staff undertaking research, on the analysis of data and use of statistics
- provide leadership and coordination in an enthusiastic team building high-quality statistical support, revision and student-centred learning experiences

You will lead, coordinate, develop and deliver statistics and data analysis support, advice and guidance for students with higher-level statistical requirements.

**About you**:
As a graduate with a good first degree in statistics or with high statistical content, you might hold Graduate Statistician status, or you may have equivalent professional experience or have or be working towards a postgraduate qualification in statistics, data science or a programme with high statistical content. Your experience and expertise will include:

- extensive knowledge of techniques and technology for data and statistical analysis
- experience providing expert guidance, advice or consultancy and of establishing collaborations with colleagues from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds
- experience of leading projects, coordinating and developing staff

Your experience providing support to non-specialists will demonstrate your strong communication skills and empathy with those for whom statistics or working with data is unfamiliar or daunting.

A desire to engage with the wider mathematics support community, for example through Sigma, is beneficial.
