We are seeking a skilled co-ordinator to support with the delivery of the Pastoral Care and Student Culture and Inclusion training and events programmes.

This role will include supporting the Policy and Projects team to book, promote and evaluate the training programmes and events on offer. As a key member of this team, you will help us to meet our objectives in terms of impactful training and events delivery. Your ability to create and oversee processes will ensure that we can effectively analyse our training offer and continually improve this provision. Where relevant, you will also provide coordination and administration support to the wider Student Policy and Safeguarding team.

**About the role**

You will support the Student Policy and Safeguarding Team by providing efficient, effective co-ordination, ensuring that training and events run smoothly and can be reported on. Your work will include:

- Booking rooms, training sessions and meetings
- Sending calendar invites, reminders, and training information to attendees
- Monitoring and recording attendance
- Producing statistical data returns by manipulating data from booking systems and Moodle
- Assisting in the preparation of annual data returns to support evaluation and planning within the team, and reporting to various University bodies
- Drafting documentation to support the work of the department, such as information guides for students
- Proof-reading reports, policies, and papers
- Booking meetings, taking, and sharing minutes and action notes
- Providing administrative support for recruitment processes

You will make a proactive contribution to projects within Student Policy and Safeguarding, and you will liaise and collaborate with staff across the department and the wider university to see these projects through to completion.

Previous experience of using University systems (iTrent, UniHub, Moodle, Typecase) will be advantageous but are not essential. To be considered for this position you will:

- be able to demonstrate substantial experience in an administrative support role.
- understand the importance of keeping accurate records
- be able to input, organise and present data from different systems
- need to be organised, self-motivated and proactive.

Student Support provide students with information, support and advice to help them succeed. This includes counselling and mental health, disability support, money management and international student advice. Within this, the Policy and Projects team supports the University’s strategic aim to develop and deliver a Culture of Care for all our students through policy work, training initiatives and projects that aim to improve the student experience and address inequity within it.

**About the team**

This role will sit within the new Student Policy and Safeguarding Department. This role will sit within the Policy and Projects team, reporting to the Student Culture and Inclusion Training Officer. You will also work closely with the Student Culture and Inclusion Projects Officer and the Personal Tutor Training Officer.

Joining the team at this time gives an opportunity for you to contribute to the developing culture and direction of this department.

This is a part-time role (21.9 hours per week) for a fixed-term period until February 2024.
