For over 25 years, Hudgell Solicitors has provided legal advice to clients across the UK looking for genuine, clear and honest support with legal disputes relating to medical negligence, personal or criminal injury, civil liberties, travel and actions against the police and inquests and public inquiries.

We are looking to recruit New Claims Advisors to join our existing team in our prestigious office in the centre of Hull.

If you have worked within a customer service or administration role or if you already have experience working in a legal services role and are looking for a new challenge, then contact us now to find out more.

You will be the first point of contact for new enquiries received into the department. The role requires that you uphold our company values by handling calls professionally and with compassion. You will be required to:

- Set the tone of the initial client journey in accordance with our company values through your upbeat, but empathetic, handling of initial client queries.
- Always maintain our call handling service level agreement standards in terms of speed and quality of response.
- Review complaint response documentation in readiness for assessment by a senior colleague.
- Liaising with Senior Solicitors and dealing with further information regarding calls then providing this information back to the Solicitor.
- Following assessment, notify the client of our decision and deal with any follow up correspondence.
- Record new enquiries and open files on the case management system.
- Explain to the client the options available to fund their case.
- Accurately record key data.
- Monitor own task list daily to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Dealing with calls for other team members when not available.
- Participating in the out of hours rota on a pro rata basis.

What you will need:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- It is essential that you have an empathetic and calm nature
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to deliver excellent client care.
- Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with client data.
- High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to deal with high call volumes.
- Previous legal experience is preferred, although is not essential as full training will be provided.
