**Hours**:10 hrs per week

**Work Pattern**: Saturday: 10am - 3pm

Sunday: 10am - 3pm

**Hourly Rate of Pay**:£11.79 per hour.

**Based at**:Within the employer’s own home in Cheadle and local community**.**

Job Purpose

To support a lady within her own home with personal care, housework, shopping and also accessing the community.

Main duties

Support with personal care and daily living needs.

Support with domestic chores such as cleaning, washing, and maintaining a safe living environment.

The employer uses a wheelchair her safety will be paramount at all times.

Support with meals, snacks, and drinks.

Support to access the community and any appointments weather permitting.

Personal Specification

Have experience of working with vulnerable adults.

Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.

Be patient and supportive.

Be friendly and outgoing.

Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.

Be respectful of the employer’s dignity, at all times.

Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.

You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.

You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.

Have an awareness and knowledge of equal opportunities.

Special Conditions

**Driver preferred but not essential** - Have a full driving licence, business class insurance and own transport.

A Fully Comprehensive vehicle insurance package with business use is necessary for the role. It is your responsibility to acquire this before escorting the service user out of the home in your vehicle.

Vehicle insurance costs will not be met by the employer / service user.

Your vehicle must be roadworthy (with a current MOT certificate) and you must hold a valid driving licence. You will be required to show this to your employer when asked to do so.

You must tell your employer if the licence changes in any way that may affect this employment.

If you were to lose your licence, then this may lead to dismissal unless another suitable role became available within your employer’s home.

The post carries a 6-month probationary period.
